Welcome to GA4Stats! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your download, installation, and use of the GA4Stats Stream Deck Plugin (“the Plugin”). By installing or using the Plugin, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Plugin.
1. Description of the Software
GA4Stats is a local hardware integration plugin designed for the Elgato Stream Deck. It connects directly to your Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property via the Google Analytics Data API to display website statistics, real-time visitors, and conversion metrics on your Stream Deck device.
2. Data Privacy and Local Execution
The Plugin is designed with your privacy and security as the highest priority:
- Local Storage: The Plugin operates entirely on your local machine. Your Google OAuth credentials (access tokens and refresh tokens) and GA4 Property IDs are stored locally within the Elgato Stream Deck application’s secure settings environment.
- Direct Connection: The Plugin communicates directly between your local machine and Google’s API servers.
- No Developer Access: The developer of GA4Stats does not collect, transmit, intercept, or have any access to your Google account credentials, analytics data, website traffic, or personal information.
3. Third-Party Services and APIs
Because the Plugin acts as a bridge between your Stream Deck and Google, your use of the Plugin is also subject to third-party agreements:
- Google Terms: You must comply with the Google Analytics Terms of Service and the Google APIs Terms of Service.
- API Quotas: The Plugin utilizes the Google Analytics Data API, which is subject to usage quotas and rate limits enforced by Google (e.g., Error Code 429). The developer is not responsible for any interruptions in service caused by exceeding these limits.
- Elgato Terms: Your use of the software is also subject to Corsair/Elgato’s terms regarding Stream Deck usage.
4. User Responsibilities
- Account Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the Google Account used to authorize the Plugin.
- Lawful Use: You agree to use the Plugin only for lawful purposes and in accordance with your local laws and regulations regarding data monitoring and analytics.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE PLUGIN IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. The developer expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- The developer does not warrant that the Plugin will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely secure.
- The developer does not warrant that the data displayed by the Plugin is perfectly accurate or real-time, as it is subject to network latency and Google’s API processing times.
6. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses resulting from:
- The use or the inability to use the Plugin.
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your local credentials.
- Temporary or permanent bans, quota limits, or suspensions of your Google Analytics account resulting from API usage.
7. Modifications to the Plugin and Terms
The developer reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Plugin (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We also reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Plugin following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
